For their forthcoming book in the Twentyfifteen.sg initiative, photographers Sam Chin and Samuel He are working on a series of portraits and short interviews with people named Lee Kuan Yew or 李光耀.
70-year-old 李光耀 Lee Kuang Yeo, led a humble fish farmer’s life, bringing up four children in a exotic fish farm in Tengah. Now retired, he spends his free time with his wife and grandchildren. Sometimes, he heads to a neighbourhood CC to belt out Teochew oldies with friends.
They have found a few, including the 70-year-old former fish farmer above, but are still looking for more profiles.
